Double the major, double the reward  
Double majoring in psychology and education, Andrew Friedman knows that taking on a bit of extra work will reward him in the long run. Thanks to the community at UCR, he feels valued and that his goals are within reach.  
 
When more education opens more doors 
Going from one major to two can sound intimidating, but Andrew Friedman is balancing it all, thanks to the support he receives from UC Riverside. As a psychology and education major, the workload has been easier than expected and he's excited for future opportunities. 

 

NARRATIVE 

When Andrew Friedman first came to UC Riverside, he started as an education major but was undecided about psychology. After working in a research lab, he decided to choose psychology as a second major. Andrew is also minoring in medical and health sciences. 

Andrew's experience with double majoring hasn’t been too challenging. Since he was already taking classes related to both subjects, it wasn’t as difficult or time-consuming as he thought it would be. The support and community he’s experienced at UCR makes him feel valued and more confident in himself as well. 

He’s excited for the future ahead – Andrew plans on working as an EMT and attending paramedic school. From there, he’d like to attend medical school. Thanks to the resources available, students like Andrew can maximize their potential and confidently strive towards their goals.
